The Allandale building was designed as a multi-tenanted P-Grade building. It consists of subdivisible floor-plates wrapped around a multi-volume landscaped, furnished atrium. The perimeter of the building follows the “star” shape of the site to form an urban edge that reinforces the street-scape. Access points to the building are integrated with the streets on the south and west and the neighbouring building on the east. The atrium is activated by organic-shaped slab edges that penetrate into the volume providing points of interest and inspiring common spaces for each tenant that can be used as pause areas or touch-down work spaces. The shell of the building is designed to combine rectilinear, cantilevering forms with curving, organic facades. The building sits on a multi-level parking podium which is covered with landscaped berms to provide a seamless connection to carefully curated greenery.
