Taking its name from its wedge-shaped site, this building is designed on a prominent street corner. Instead of imposing itself onto the corner, the design purposefully pulls away from it to allow for an urban piazza which forms a “welcome mat” to one of its main pedestrian entrances. The facades are a combination of sloping and curving forms made up of glass and aluminium. Along its southern edge, the building faces onto a pedestrian boulevard where a feature “V-shaped” colonnade creates a transition zone and threshold between inside and outside.
