Oak Tree House

Nestled around a circa 100-year-old oak tree in the heart of Hyde Park, Johannesburg, Oak Tree House was designed with a pared-down simplicity and focus on authentic living. The house is a compilation of very open social spaces combined with moments of quieter, more intimate and private spaces. There is a constant connection back to nature with carefully curated views and disappearing sliding glass cavity doors that blur the lines between inside and outside. The material palette is a compilation of concrete, stone and timber creating a modern but warm and welcoming aesthetic.
