Rosslyn Grove is a Diplomatic Housing scheme designed for the US Department of State in Nairobi, Kenya. There are two multi-storey apartment blocks which house 72 apartments and sit on a podium level with parking below. They are situated on the upper, flatter portion of the site and are separated by a central courtyard with extensive landscaping and amenities including a clubhouse, gym, swimming pool and play areas. As one moves down the site, the density decreases and the slope is used to accommodate 18 luxurious townhouses with uninterrupted views of the forest and river. The masterplan has been designed around carefully curated common areas which form a pedestrianised “green lung” that links the townhouses, apartments and site amenities. This “green lung” accommodates various lifestyle facilities including walking/running paths, playgrounds, dog parks and barbeque areas.
